AT THE THRESHOLD OF LIFE FOUNDATION

STORIES

A LIFE IS MORE THAN THE MOMENT IT ENDED.

Some stories begin with a photograph.

Some with a name.

Some with a memory nobody else knows.

Some with the sentence:

“I never got to say goodbye.”

Some are still unfinished.

ATTOL makes room for real stories shared with permission and without forcing them into happy endings.

BEHOLD STORIES

Photographs, hands, memories and continuing love.

THE SILENT VOICE

Stories that may otherwise remain unheard.

REMEMBER THEIR LIFE

Who were they before the goodbye?

WHAT I STILL CARRY

Words for the things that remain.

Tell Your Story

Share only what you are ready to share.

You may share a memory, reflection, journal entry, poem, testimony, interview, family tradition, question, or part of your lived experience. You may also come only to listen until you are ready—or decide not to share at all.

Storytelling can help us recognize what shaped us, find language for what we carry, preserve joy and traditions, understand relationships, and connect one person’s experience with a larger human story.

You might begin by asking: What shaped me? What did I need? What did I receive? What did I miss? What brought me joy? What do I still carry? What needs an opportunity to heal? What deserves to be preserved and passed forward?

Someone else’s story helped me recognize mine. Now I want to help someone else recognize theirs.— Darlynn Faucet

Your story can take many forms.

01

Write privately

Use reflection, journaling, letters, poetry, or personal notes without sharing them publicly.

02

Share with the community

Offer a memory, reflection, testimony, family tradition, or piece of your lived experience when you choose.

03

Speak or create

Participate through conversation, interviews, art, audio, video, or another form that feels true to you.

04

Listen and recognize

You may come to listen, learn, connect, or recognize part of yourself through someone else’s story.

Your story remains yours.

A submission will not automatically be published, used in a book, shared in media, or identified publicly.

Permission, intended use, privacy, and how you wish to be named must be discussed before anything moves beyond the space in which it was shared. You may choose to remain private, anonymous, identified, or withdraw from further consideration before publication permission is given.

Help stories find thoughtful, responsible pathways.

WRITE

Authors and emerging writers

Authors, memoirists, poets, journal writers, and people still finding their voice are welcome in the storytelling circle.

PUBLISH

Publishers and literary professionals

Publishers, editors, agents, book professionals, and literary organizations may connect about responsible story development and publishing possibilities.

CREATE

Producers and storytellers

Producers, podcasters, filmmakers, interviewers, and content creators may explore careful ways to bring stories into audio, video, broadcast, or live conversation.

AMPLIFY

Journalists and media

Journalists, news outlets, and media professionals are invited to connect about awareness, interviews, public storytelling, and meaningful coverage.

The conversation continues beyond the website.

BEHOLD invites conversation through social media, Facebook and online communities, podcasting, livestreams, interviews, public conversations, storytelling, awareness work, speaking, and news or media coverage.

Your words may become part of something larger—only with your permission.

If you would like your submission to be considered for a future written, recorded, broadcast, or published project, say so when you contact us. Interest in consideration is not automatic permission to publish.
